Creating Specialized Financial Institutions

Evolving from its partnership with Brome Financial Corporation (Brome), CIF offers services to design and organize new financial institutions specialized in Asset Based Lending and leasing. These financial institutions support SMEs by providing them advices and financing when traditional commercial banks do not meet their needs. CIF provides its know-how in the development of a business plan for the financial institution, of loans management and processes, risk management and employee training programs.

Creation, Development and Implementation of Credit Sharing Organisations (Credit Bureaus)

CIF offers services to design, set-up and implement risk sharing organizations. Risk sharing organizations, such as credit bureaus, create value for financial institutions by providing a data sharing platform for information needed to manage credit risk. Credit bureau information is a powerful tool used to reduce the expected losses associated with individual and SME lending and assists in more accurate pricing of these kinds of loans.  Credit bureaus also contribute to greater access to credit for SMEs since losses and pricing become more predictable for these kinds of loans.  Additionally, CIF's partnership with law firm Heenan Blaikie gives us the ability to integrate the legal aspects to any credit risk sharing organization in the design and set-up phase of these kinds of organizations.
